Photographer and social activist, Laura Dunwoody, embarked on a community arts project in collaboration with the Ballymun Regional Youth Resource in Dublin, Ireland. Laura merges art education and social empowerment by providing participants time and space to explore their own identity and self representation through the medium of photography.

Laura has worked closely with children and youth clubs to help develop skills in photography, issuing them with compact cameras and encouraging them to consider the power of their own voice and how to use it. Through analog photography, poetry, collages and drawings an intimate portrayal of adolescence is created amidst a group of 10 year old girls.
