Riverside Madness
Shels Youth is a visual study that focuses on the behaviour and dedication of Shelbourne’s adolescent diehard football fans. In the Riverside Stand at Tolka Park, a different game is emerging. A group of young boys and men forming a tribe of passion, devotion and interconnectedness. Bound by football but driven by something deeper; a search for belonging, identity, and expression. This project is more than about football, it is a representation of the formation of collective identity in the landscape of Irish football culture.
